Lebaton BanBan Cream Review - Best Cream for Dry Skin?

BanBan Cream was a term I first heard from one of my Korean medical students but she wasn't able to explain what it is for and what I can do with it. All she said was that it is the best cream for dry skin. At that time, I also didn't have any idea where to buy and so I just forgot about it. Fast forward 2017 when I finally got to try Lebaton BanBan Cream and boy, it's great!

Lebaton BanBan Cream Review

What is the Lebaton BanBan Cream or What is BanBan Cream In General?

I have no idea! I tried to research but not a lot of information are available in English, especially when I first read about the product at this reddit thread.

Is This the Best Cream for Dry Skin?

From the packaging, it just seems like a 2 in 1 product with one side being a moisturizing cream and another side being a Tone Up Whitening Cream. I really thought one was for pore reduction and one was a night and day moisturizer.

My favorite online shopping store BeautyMNL says that the Lebaton Banban Cream is a 2-step cream that offers both whitening and hydrating benefits. It says that the product is supposed to give you a lit from within feel and also supple skin.

I can't read Hangul but added these photos for those who can.

By the way, Lebaton is mostly known for their makeup products I also love their BanBan Cleanser but I will review that on another post.

The box the jar of cream came with is really cute. I also like the jar itself but the cap is so shiny it can be used as a mirror. The downside is that it really shows any smudge and fingerprints.

A nice detail is that they added a scoop and a place to keep the scoop inside the jar itself. Yey!

There's even a tiny hook for the scoop.

That hook is there to keep the scoop in place as well as serve as handle for lifting the lid.

There are 2 creams in the jar, the Aqua Moisturizing Cream which provides moisture by a combination of camelia oil, camellia japonica extract, and hyaluronic acid; and the Tone Up Whitening Cream which evens out skintone as it lightens the skin with 8 herbal extracts and pearl extract.

The Whitening Tone Up cream is an opaque cream that feels like regular moisturizer with an extra instant whitening effect and the Aqua Moisturizing Cream is a cloudy light cream.

Both are easily absorbed on the skin. I think this is the best cream for dry skin but it also does wonders for my oily T-zone too!

How to Use: These are directions translated from their website.

  • STEP 1. Use the creams as the last step in your skincare regimen. You can use both or just use one of the creams depending on your skin needs.
  • STEP 2: Get an amount that you would need for desired application. Apply on face and smooth out or tap gently for better absorption.

The Lebaton BanBan Cream has been my go-to daily moisturizer until I run out. I usually use the Whitening Tone Up Cream during the day under makeup and use the Aqua Moisturizing Cream at night as my final step in skincare. There are times I mix both when I have extra dry patches because this is the best cream for dry skin that worked for me.

By the way, here are my skin details:
  • oily skin on T-zone, dry on sides
  • sensitive and acne prone, prone to redness too
  • My face is darker than my neck
  • I got enlarged pores on one side of cheek (this product helped with this btw)
  • I have mature skin since I am in my mid-30s

As you can see from the photo below, the creams provide a good base for makeup. In the photo below, I even used them under a matte foundation and they made it look more skin-like.

This product  gets a 5/5 for me!

I think this is the best cream for dry skin! (actually also oily skin)

The only thing I can diss about this is the shiny cap of the jar, haha! But hey, maybe someone else will like it as a mirror, right?

I bought this at AltheaKorea but you can also buy at BeautyMNL.
