Careline lip tints has been a staple in so many kikay kits, including my own so when I found out that they have a nenw release that's not only the same good 'ol paraben-free and cruelty-free concoction but is also MASK PROOF, I went ahead and gave it a go. For the past week, I tried each of the 6 shades so I can give some commentary in case one of them is a flop but thankfully, they are all the same quality. Without further ado, here are my thoughts on the Careline Stain With Me LipTint.
EB Advance Power Paint faced a bit of controversy last year in the local makeup scene because some people thought that this product is a shameless copycat of the Glossier Cloud Paint. This is why I took down my first review because I wanted to check if there is any truth to the wild accusations. Anyway, after looking around online, I found out that there are a bunch of similar-looking and similar-marketed products all over the world and none were met with the same controversy with the cancel culture crowd. Also found out that Glossier wasn't even the first the come out with the same concept anyway so meh, it really was just a small-scale social media frenzy for nothing except typical beauty world drama more so that Maybelline Cheek Heat was released a few weeks ago and it didn't get the same treatment from the Philippine cancel culture crowd for some reason. Smaller local brands released products with similar-looking packaging and concept too so yeah, the controversy was just weird. At any rate, besides the packaging, the EB Advance Power Paint is a different product in my experience and I've been using it for about half a year now. Read up on my thoughts below!
Gel eyeshadow products are not new in the Philippine market but the ones that were available before were from international makeup brands. Don't quote me on this but I think Spotlight Cosmetics is the first Filipino Makeup Brand that released a gel eyeshadow that truly works for Philippine weather. I've been using this since March 2021 and haven't experienced the problems I've had with similar products in the past. If you have oily eyelids that tend to give you raccoon eyes, then keep on reading!
Ellana Satin Stain Shine Liquid Lip and Cheek Tint wasn't something that I was expecting to like. I'm someone who prefers watery tints over creamy ones and I thought that a creamy lip and cheek stain would look less vibrant on the skin like how Glossier Cloud Paint performs which I am not a fan of but boy, was I wrong!
