NEW Warm Nude Eyeshadow Palette in Town! Cathy Doll Nude Me Palette!

Oh No! Not another Naked palette dupe! It's like every brand has been coming up with nude eyeshadow palettes, right? So what is different with this Cathy Doll Nude Me 'Nude' eyeshadow palette?

Well, for starters, the brand never claimed that their palette is 'another' Naked palette dupe, so that's refreshing! Another thing is that this may be the most affordable Naked palette look-alike next to the one by City Colors...and, hold your breath! Cathy Doll's version claims to be long wearing even without a primer!

Whoa!

Hearing about all of that, of course, I couldn't resist writing a

Review for Cathy Doll Nude Me Eyeshadow in Nude!

There are actually 3 eyeshadow palettes in Cathy Doll's Nude Me collection and they come in individual boxes with see-through windows. Love that small detail because it allows buyers to see the product inside, ensuring that one of the pans are smashed or cracked.

I have already written reviews for the pink Cathy Doll palette and the taupe Cathy Doll palette. You'll find links to those at the last part of this post.

So, the packaging for the eyeshadow palette is made from a similar plastic used in other affordable makeup palettes. Nothing fancy-schmancy, just some Cathy Doll trademark cuteness.

At the back of each eyeshadow palette, you'll see some details such as until when you can use the eyeshadow after initial use, the product's name, the manufacturer's contact number along with the manufacturer's website, and how much of the actual product you'll be getting.

Cathy Doll Nude Me 'Nude' Palette

There are 12 pretty shades in a mix of matte, satin, shimmery, and frosted/metallic finishes

The eyeshadow palette comes with a dual-ended sponge tip applicator with the brand name Cathy Doll printed in the middle. There was, unfortunately, no mirror. Not a major downside but just something that I would personally like to have in all my palettes.

Cathy Doll Nude Palette Swatches

I swatched each shade of the eyeshadows over my hand without primer using my fingers. If you take a look at the palette in the background, you can see that I didn't have to dig in the pans.

Each pan size is the same size as a 25 centavo peso coin. That seems small but remember that you'll be getting 12 grams for that's 1 gram for each shade (which is typical for products like this).

Please use the photo above as a reference since the shades in the palette are not named.

Shade 1 - a satin light beige for blending, highlighting, and as a base color. This is the least pigmented shade in the palette. You can see that it is kinda patchy in the swatch.

Shade 2 - a shimmery light mocha with a touch of pink.

Shade 3 - a matte tan shade great for base.

Shade 4 - a shimmery light brown.

Shade 5 - a matte milk chocolate brown.

Shade 6 - a frosted metallic old gold and bronze mix.

Shade 7 - a shimmery warm brown. Like shining, shimmering, splendid coco jam.

Shade 8 - a shimmery slightly deep neutral brown. The smoothest shade in the palette.

Shade 9 - a shimmery light rose brown.

Shade 10 - a shimmery deep cool brown.

Shade 11 - a satin dark gray with fine silver glitters. The glitters do not cause fall out.

Shade 12 - a shimmery lead gray shade. Like the color of pencil lead.

Cathy Doll Pink Champagne Palette Summary

Shades: 2 matte shades, 2  satins, 7 shimmery shades, and 1 frosted/metallic shade.

Pigmentation: no chalkiness but the pigmentation isn't as good as the Pink Champagne palette I reviewed earlier in the week. Perhaps because it is the metallic shades that tend to be the creamiest? So if a palette has less of that, it's not as pigmented although still good (especially for the price!). Again, not as crazy as Urban Decay or Lorac but are better than other drugstore brands or palettes in the same price range.

Texture:  The shadows are not buttery smooth but glide easily and not as difficult to blend as similarly priced palettes.

Wear time: Almost a full 8-hour day without primer (I got oily lids) and up to 10 to 12 hours with primer. That ain't bad, right?

Value for money: The Cathy Doll Nude Me 'Nude' palette is only P499 and you get mid of Maybelline and Sleek-level quality (Sleek palettes retail for almost twice this if I am not mistaken and Maybelline is P675).

Where to Buy: You can purchase yours at Zalora, Watsons/SM Beauty, Robinson's, and maybe some 711s.

Overall rating: 4/5 so this is in between the Nude palette and the Pink Champagne palette.

Is the Cathy Doll Nude Me 'Nude' Palette a dupe for Naked 1?

Yes and NO.

If you're scanning the makeup aisles for a warm nude palette, then YES, this is better than other similar 'dupes' out there. Not quite the same as the 'orig' Naked 1 from Urban Decay but better than other so-called dupes from other drugstore brands. I think this is the cheapest too.

If you're a beginner or an average makeup user, then I think you will enjoy using this palette. This is a versatile palette for office and light makeup use.
