Ever Bilena Bold Beauty Blogger Event #EBBoldBeauty

So I figured that I should take a rest from the Pinay Beauty And Style Youtube channel and concentrate on blogging for a while. What better event to start that with than with Ever Bilena's Bold Beauty Blogger event right? (since most of you found my blog and vlog via reviews of their products). Truth be told, I'm not really into attending beauty events and the like unless I REALLY like the brand, product to be launched, or the people who will be there. I'd rather just buy new releases or wait for PR parcels than mingle with people....IKR? Weird beauty blogger haha! #introvertproblems Luckily for me, the Bold Beauty Blogger event by Ever Bilena combines all that.

Okay, all I know of the event from the invites that was sent was that we are supposed to show up fresh faced or bare faced and that we will be applying makeup and then participating in a photo shoot. For me this means that we 'might' get to try new products or up and coming ones. I also know that the freshest Philippine talents in makeup artistry will be there so of course I ended up going.

And oh boy, was it super worth it!

Found the Best Waterproof Bag! Here's My Beachkin Bag Story and Review

Beachkin bags Philippines...I remember typing that on my browser after I've seen some very pretty beachkin bags on my social media feed. I've been wanting to get one for the longest time but my practical side held me off, putting forth the fact that I won't have anywhere to go to with the bag...and that was not untrue.

Most beach kin bags you'll see if you made a search on Instagram are small pastel ones or come in very loud colors, far from my aesthetic. As much as I wanted to buy one, I knew that I won't have a real use for it...

...that is until I saw the beautiful navy blue beachkin bag above at the Estilo Glam Chic display at MAD Manila!

Okay, okay...I do admit that even after seeing the bag (that comes in a color that's totally me), I was still not sold on the idea of owning one. Why? Because I was thinking that it won't be able to hold up for daily use because I have this crazy habit of bringing an ungodly amount of personal things with me whenever I go out haha! 

Yup! I'm one of those persons who would bring a kikay kit, several chargers, gadgets, a notebook, and power banks even if I'll just be running errands and would be away for 3 hrs max. I thought that the bag would die an early death and join my other bags in bag heaven haha! 

I have an unhealthy sort of relationship to matte liquid lipsticks. I mean, I love all sorts of colorful things in general, but mention liquid matte lipsticks and you can surely get my attention in a snap! That's why I was in full attention when Philippine drugstore makeup brand Careline came up with matte liquid lippies!

I'd have to admit, though, when I first saw Careline liquid lipsticks at Watson's, I simply walked past them because they look like ordinary lippies (see packaging). Then, saw a post at IG and wow! Liquid lipstick pala!

Still, I didn't get my hopes up thinking perhaps this is just a tint like the EB Advance ones in white packaging and I'm glad that I was wrong.

Oh No! Not another Naked palette dupe! It's like every brand has been coming up with nude eyeshadow palettes, right? So what is different with this Cathy Doll Nude Me 'Nude' eyeshadow palette?

Well, for starters, the brand never claimed that their palette is 'another' Naked palette dupe, so that's refreshing! Another thing is that this may be the most affordable Naked palette look-alike next to the one by City Colors...and, hold your breath! A Budget-Friendly Taupe Eyeshadow Palette You Won't Wanna Miss! Cathy Doll Smoky Palette from their Nude Me Collection!

Whoooo! New eyeshadow! Is it just me or is anyone out there also into collecting new eyeshadow palettes? Even those which you don't really intend to use because you have a gazillion other palettes sporting the same shadow shades? I ain't got no shame in my game that I like taupe eyeshadow colors.

To be honest, taupe colors don't really suit my skin tone unless I slather on the black and go for intense panda smoky eyes but hey, nobody can stop me from wearing them when I'm at home!

I was immediately smitten by the mix of warm nude shades for the top row and the cool-toned taupe shades at the bottom row in this smoky palette. Aren't they so pretty?

It seems like almost every makeup brand has been coming up with their own version of the ever so popular Naked palettes from Urban Decay. Truth be told, I'm no longer surprised when I spotted the 3 new eyeshadow palettes from the Cathy Doll Nude Me Collection launch and saw that they look like they were inspired from Naked 1, 2, and 3 respectively. What I wasn't expecting was how nice they are; more so when compared to the ones by the "maybe she's born with it" brand!

I would be publishing separate reviews for all 3 new Cathy Doll palettes but I'll start with my favorite among the 3 - the pink one, of course!
