The product doesn't come in a box, just a shrink-wrapped plastic but you can be sure that the product is intact and sealed because it has a foil cap inside.
The product is totally unique because it looks like a serum. You know, clear, a bit thick, and absorbs nicely but unlike normal serums, the Althea Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser can be used to remove makeup and cleanse the skin.
How to use the Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser to clean your face?
Just apply directly on the face (like a serum), massage a bit, and rinse off! You'll be rewarded with clean but still hydrated and soft skin!
But the real question is, just how effective is the Althea Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser in removing makeup?
I tested the product over long lasting liquid eyeliner, a tint, a liquid matte lipstick, a cream contour, and a long-lasting foundation swatch.
So to remove makeup:
- I poured a small amount of the product
- I massaged it over the skin with makeup til the makeup was dissolved. This took about a minute.
- Just to demonstrate how effective, I wiped off with tissue and you can see nearly all makeup was taken off.
- The last step is to rinse with water. Your face will be clean!
I really love how cool to the skin the Althea Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser is and how easy it is to use. I think the jojoba oil in the product is the secret ingredient because its structure is very much like our own skin oil so it doesn't irritate the skin. I wish they have travel size versions too so will be more kikay-kit friendly!
